Was she pretending to be a child again or had she just lost her mind? I just saw an 80+ year old woman walking down the street eating a snowball like it was an apple. My mind is not quite sure how to process that one... :)

Nah, I totally get it. All the snow and ice is making people break out of their normal, inhibited Rigan behaviour. The boys and I have been having fun lately playing kick the piece of ice up the road when walking to school - you know, get a big bit of ice and kick is as far as you can, then the next person kicks it, all the way to wherever you're going - and it's been fun watching totally respectable business men/women lose their uptight demeanours to go in for a kick ;)
Love it. I had forgotten about that game, but that's a great one for passing the time on the same long walks I do every day. :)
I have to add, this might be one of the perks of living in Sigulda as well. Even though the snow is on its way out, it is still clean enough to eat. :)
